



Now a script CAN see the cursor position on the main timeline. In short, there's no way for a script to check that option and no way for a script to see where on the effect timeline the cursor is located in that box. Scripting cannot see the "Effects Window" - but it can set and read keyframes in different positions. If you want the timeline to match effect box, make sure that that "lock" box is checked (once you check it, it will stay checked.) I just leave it checked all the time but you do have to watch out when opening the effects or Pan/Crop as the cursor will "start" in whatever position it is in on the timeline so you have to watch out that you don't erroneously create unwanted keyframes.
